Leased Line Internet connection for Business Activities

April 30, 2020 0 Comments

Today with the increase in Internet speeds there is a fine line and set of differences between Business Broadband and Leased Line connections. Leased Line Internet connection is ideal for Business Activities with dedicated hosted resources which need to accessed either from the Internet or VPN. Leased line internet connection and broadband connection are both delivered through fiber cables but they differ in the way it reaches the subscriber. With broadband connection you share a local cable which provides internet to all the people in the premises usually with overhead cables and GPON technology with splitters. With the leased line connection, you get dedicated fiber cables usually laid underground with redundancy and dedicated MUX or metro ring networks. Usually there is higher capex involved with dedicated hardware, power and routers.

Benefits of Leased line connections are high performance capacity, bandwidth enough for all the business activities without contention, reliability with low latency and higher SLA levels. It also provides flexibility of increasing the data volumes when needed with burstable bandwidth options and flexibility in IP address allocation and also establishing BGP if required with upstream providers. Internet Leased Lines are preferred over broadband connections for providing Internet connectivity to larger organizations like colleges, corporate offices, hospitals, etc.

Leased line ISPs should provide symmetric & dedicated Internet connections to their customers with separate fiber paths and network equipment to differentiate their service from broadband offerings. Also, ISPs should ensure 24×7 support with quick issue resolution to ensure highest uptime for Internet Leased Line customers.

Jaze ISP Manager helps Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to manage their leased line customers with precise control on bandwidth and QoS with customizable billing options and more for delivering the best possible services for leased line customers.

Due to technology advances and breakthroughs, the telecom industry has experienced dramatic changes and is going on to develop and evolve faster than ever before. It’s anticipated that the year 2020 will account for new changes and will bring a great variety of opportunities to the telecommunications industry with the introduction of 5G.

5G – The 5th generation of wireless network technology will be rolled out soon by all telecom operators to serve wire-like Internet speeds on mobiles. India is one of the largest smartphones user-base in the world with more and more users switching to smartphones which have proliferated the market with lower cost and better features. High speed Internet access on smartphones will drive the growth of Internet and penetrate all parts of the country serving rural and remote areas. Broadband on fiber will still play a major role by utilizing the same backbone which will be strengthened for the delivery of 5G. The broadband market on fiber will definitely grow alongside 5G deployment by telcos and we can look to see even faster speeds on fiber broadband connections with better backbone strength.

Where is the value potential of IoT?

April 3, 2020 0 Comments

The Infographic below depicts the potential value for IoT growth in the future. Communication is driving the human race since the ages and it has been constantly evolving that we are now able to connect with the machines, devices and gadgets which we are using now on everyday basis and has become part of our life. The connectivity and technology have evolved so much that data from IoT networks enables us to have better tracking of people and equipment, monitoring of various metrics, prediction based on AI, management of devices and control of various systems in different industries.

By 2025 the economy will be impacted by the total potential impact for IoT growth in the world. IoT also has application in various industries ranging from Healthcare to Transportation and Logistics, as well as Manufacturing and Education. Smart Cities, Banking and Finance are all going to be influenced heavily by IoT enabled networks of the future. Essential requirements for the connectivity are from Broadband and Internet data connections, Bluetooth, NFC and many sensors which are used for connectivity.

ISPs should ensure their networks scale to cope with increasing demand and integrate with all the new delivery technologies to provide cost effective growth. IPv6 is one of the major technologies to be enabled on ISP networks for faster proliferation of IoT devices. IPv6 enables each IoT device to directly connected to the Internet and communicate and share data back and forth.

Jaze ISP Manager helps Internet service providers (ISPs) to shape your traffic efficiently through RADIUS based policies to help reduce ISP costs and provide better quality of service and support for IPv6 to drive next generation services.
